CHAPTER 1 – WHAT IT MEANS TO BE ROOTED IN CHRIST

1. Understanding the Meaning of Being Rooted

To be rooted in Christ means your life draws strength, direction, and nourishment from Him.
Psalm 1:3 compares a righteous person to a tree planted by rivers of water that never withers. Jeremiah 17:8 says such a person does not fear when heat comes.

Just like a mango tree with deep roots survives storms, believers who are rooted in Christ remain strong during trials.
2. Rootedness Is More Than Church Attendance

True rootedness is not measured by how often you attend church but by obedience to God’s Word.

3. Rooted Believers Are Grounded in God’s Word

4. Rooted Christians Are Not Easily Shaken

Rooted believers remain strong during storms.
Example:
A rooted believer who loses a job prays and trusts God instead of giving up.
5. Rooted Believers Grow Continuously
